Trend Trading Research is a blog about my research into the viability of trend trading systems and strategies. I’m undertaking this research for my MBA (Finance) degree, because a) I have to do a dissertation and b) trend trading sounded interesting; firstly there’s an intense debate about the randomness or otherwise of markets, then there’s the debate about the efficiency of markets and finally there’s the up and coming field of behavioural finance.
I’m trying, as all good researchers should, to conduct this research without any bias. I will however acknowledge prior to starting I was slightly sceptical (after all if a trading system works why wouldn’t all the smart traders be using it) – I’ll try not to let that get in the way!
